I’m Ahmet Ünal Tanrısever. Perhaps my greatest “mistake” was turning a hobby into my profession. Technology became more than a job: it has been a lifelong curiosity, often keeping me occupied well beyond office hours.
Where it began: Karaköy
During primary school summers, I started helping out at Selanik Passage in Karaköy, Istanbul, bringing tea and running errands because I wanted to learn electronics. The components, repairs and people I encountered there helped shape my interests.
Computers and a career path
Then came a period at Mouse Bilgisayar in Küçükyalı. Later, while studying at university, I worked at Körfez Bilgisayar. That was when my intention to build a career in information technology truly took shape.
A little of everything
Over the years I’ve worked with systems administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, databases and remote support. My favourite part has often been understanding how systems fit together and solving the problems that fall between them.
Home lab
Virtual machines, containers, self-hosted services and small automations are still my favourite way to learn.
Building things
Electronics, Zigbee, practical automation and inventing solutions remain enduring interests.
Amateur radio
A way of exploring communication and technology beyond the internet.
Hands-on contribution
I value voluntary environmental clean-ups, whether under water, on a beach or on land.
Why this website?
Rather than a downloadable CV, I’d like this to be a home for things I’ve learned, built and thought about. Some projects are ongoing; others may still be early ideas. What connects them is curiosity, experience and an appetite for solving problems.
